Editorial Policy & AI Disclosure

How we research, write, fact-check, and update the content on 755creditscore.com — and where AI assistance is used.

Who writes our content

Articles on this site are produced by 755CreditScore's Houston-based credit counseling team. Where a specific article requires legal or financial subject-matter expertise, the article is reviewed by a credit counselor before publication. Author bylines appear at the top of long-form articles when an individual was the primary author or reviewer.

How we fact-check

Every article that cites a law, regulation, or specific consumer right links to the primary source - typically the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the U.S. Code, or the Texas Finance Code. Numbers, deadlines, and procedural steps are verified against the original statute or agency guidance, not against secondhand sources or other blogs.

Where AI is used in our process

We use AI tools (including large language models) for limited, supervised tasks such as: drafting initial outlines, generating first drafts of structural content, suggesting headline options, and proofreading. Every AI-assisted draft is reviewed, edited, and fact-checked by a human team member before publication. We do not publish unedited AI output. AI is never used to generate fabricated case studies, made-up testimonials, or cited statistics without verification against a primary source.

How we keep content current

Content covering laws, dispute timelines, or bureau procedures is reviewed at least once per year and re-reviewed when we become aware of regulatory changes (for example, an FCRA amendment, a CFPB rule change, or a Texas Finance Code update). The "last updated" date on each long-form article reflects the most recent substantive review.

Corrections

If you find an error in any article on this site, please email us at contact@755creditscore.com. Substantive errors are corrected promptly, and the correction is noted at the top of the affected article.

No paid placements

755CreditScore does not accept payment, gifts, or any form of consideration in exchange for editorial coverage, product recommendations, or backlinks. Articles linking to outside services do so only when the link is materially useful to the reader.

YMYL standards

Credit counseling is a "Your Money or Your Life" (YMYL) topic under Google's quality framework. We hold our content on this site to a higher standard accordingly: every claim about a consumer's legal rights, a credit reporting timeline, or a dispute outcome is sourced, dated, and reviewed.
